1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: Name, email address, and billing details when you create an account
- Business information: Organisation details, location data, service descriptions, and other structured data you enter in the Portal dashboard
- Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for support, sales, or other inquiries
We also collect anonymous usage data automatically: page views, feature usage, and interaction patterns within the Portal dashboard; API call metadata (endpoints called, response times, error rates); and standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, referring pages).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the PresenceGraph platform
- To generate, deliver, and validate your structured data schemas
- To process billing and account management
- To send service updates, changelog notifications, and important account notices
- To improve platform features and performance based on usage patterns
3. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. Period.
We may share anonymised, aggregated data for analytics purposes - for example, “average schema health score across all customers” - but this data cannot identify individual businesses or people.
Service providers (payment processing via Stripe, hosting via Cloudflare, issue tracking via GitHub) have access only to data required for their function and are bound by data processing agreements.
Your structured data (schemas, entities, markup) belongs to you. You can export it at any time.
Overseas Data Storage: Some of the service providers listed in Section 6 store or process data outside New Zealand (including in the United States, via Cloudflare, Stripe, and GitHub infrastructure). Where this occurs, we select providers with strong data protection standards and appropriate contractual safeguards in place, consistent with our obligations under the Privacy Act 2020.
4. Data Security
- All data transmitted to and from PresenceGraph is encrypted using TLS 1.3
- Stored data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
- We follow New Zealand privacy standards (Privacy Act 2020) and industry best practices for data security
- API access requires authentication via API key or OAuth
- Billing data is handled by Stripe - we never store full credit card numbers
5. Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to request access to, request correction of, or request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements), and to withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@presencegraph.com. We will respond within 20 working days.
Data Retention: We retain your account and business information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain your data for 12 months to allow for reactivation, then delete or irreversibly anonymise it - except where longer retention is required by law (e.g. financial records under the Tax Administration Act). You can request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
6. Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare Workers - content delivery and edge computing for schema delivery
- Stripe - payment processing for paid tiers
- GitHub - issue tracking and feature requests
- Google Search Console API - domain verification and performance data (Foundation tier requirement)
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We have data processing agreements in place where required.
